Strategic Plan

Maintain at least a 94% staff retention rate from September 10, 2026, when compared to September 10, 2027, excluding those employees who retire from the district.  

Maintain at least a 95% student retention rate from October 1, 2026, when compared to October 1, 2027.  

Meet with all new students after the first month of attending Pequot Lakes Schools in every school year.  

Evaluate, research, and implement strategies to enhance safety and security every year.  

Conduct and analyze a staff survey measuring a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment. Use data to create an action plan.

Create a 3-year technology plan that includes recommendations on student access, financial commitments, artificial intelligence, and instructional practices by June 30, 2027. 

Every student in grades 7-12 will be involved in at least one school or community activity. 

Community Education Programming will increase adult participation in classes by 10% when comparing 2025 to 2026.  

There will be 25% of juniors and seniors participating in career experiences, internships, or apprenticeships during the 26-27 school year.  

At least 70% of students in grade 3 will meet or exceed standards on the MCA IV reading assessment by 2027. 

Grade-level cohorts in grades 2-11 will achieve a 5% increase in proficiency on FastBridge aMath and aReading benchmarks, as measured by a comparison of Fall and Spring assessment data.  

The graduation rate, as measured by MDE, will be at least 92% every year.
