Strategic Plan

Maintain at least a 94% staff retention rate from September 10, 2025, when compared to September 10, 2026, excluding those employees who retire from the district.  

Maintain at least a 95% student retention rate from October 1, 2025, when compared to October 1, 2026.  

Meet with all new students after the first month attending Pequot Lakes Schools in every school year.  

Evaluate, research, and implement strategies to enhance safety and security every year.  

Conduct and analyze a staff survey measuring welcoming, safe, and supportive environment. Use data to create an action plan. 

Every student in grades 6-12 will be involved in at least one school or community activity. 

Community Education Programming will increase adult participation in classes by 10% comparing 2024 to 2025.  

There will be 20% more juniors and seniors participating in workplace experiences, internships, or apprenticeships comparing the 24-25 school year to the 25-26 school year.  

At least 70% of students in grade 3 will meet or exceed standards on the MCA III reading assessment, by 2027. 

Grade-level cohorts will increase the number of students meeting proficiency standards on the progress monitoring tool by 5% comparing the Fall assessment to the Spring assessment in math and reading.  

The graduation rate, as measured by MDE, will be at least 92% every year.  

At least eight hours of yearly professional development for teachers will include options for teacher choice.
