FALL SPORTS

ALL dates listed below are tentative dates; full schedules will be sent to participants once the season schedule is set.
Health & Safety will continue to be our top priority with our Youth Sports program. We will be following all MDH & MDE guidelines and sanitize all equipment after each practice.
FOOTBALL
- Football Skills for 1st-2nd grade boys
- Participants will learn the basic skills and fundamentals of football in a fun environment. Varsity football players will be helping with the program.
- Participants will tentatively meet on Monday or Tuesday evenings for approximately one hour, mid - September - early October (4 weeks) on the Pequot Lakes High School football field. Approx. time frame: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
- Flag Football for 3rd/4th grade
- The focus will be on skills and fundamentals.
- 3rd/4th grade will tentatively start early September. The program will end prior to Fall break.
- The goal is to have 1 night per week along with Saturday morning. Varsity football coaches and players will be assisting with practices. Scrimmages will replace practice on Saturday morning. Approx. time frame: 5:45 - 6:45 / 7:00 p.m. weeknights, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Saturdays.
- 3rd/4th Grade Flag Football may participate in scrimmages with area communities on Saturday mornings.
- Contact Football 5th/6th-grade boys
- The focus will be on the skills and fundamentals of football.
- 5th/6th grade will tentatively start at the end of August; the program will end prior to Fall break.
- The goal is to have 1 - 2 practices per week. Varsity football coaches and players will be assisting with practices. A scrimmage night may replace a practice or possibly a Saturday morning. Approx. time frame: 5:45 - 6:45 / 7:00 p.m.
- 5th/6th Grade Contact Football may participate in scrimmages with area communities on an evening (in place of practice) or Saturday mornings.
CROSS COUNTRY
- Cross Country 3rd - 5th grade girls & boys
- Runners of all abilities are encouraged to participate.
- Varsity coaches and athletes will work with runners on stretching techniques, running form, running games, workouts, and team-building exercises.
- Practices will be 1 - 2 nights per week, tentatively starting mid-August, ending mid-September.
- Practice times will tentatively be 5:45 - 6:45 p.m.
- Runners will participate in an end of the season “meet”
TENNIS
- Tennis Skills 3rd - 5th grade girls
- Players of all abilities are encouraged to participate.
- Varsity coaches and players will be assisting with practices.
- Players will work on basic strokes, using differing drills and games.
- The program will tentatively start in August depending on varsity schedule
- Practice times will tentatively be 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings)
- Players will need to provide their own racket.
VOLLEYBALL
- Volleyball 3rd - 4th Grade Girls
- The program will tentatively start mid September
- The focus will be on skills and fundamentals.
- Practices will be 1 night per week (typically Mondays or Tuesdays), the program will end prior to Fall Break.
- Practice times will be tentatively 6 - 7 p.m. depending on gym availability
- The 3rd-4th program will be totally in-house
- Volleyball 5th -6th Grade Girls
- The program will tentatively start the week of mid September
- The focus will be on skills and fundamentals.
- Practices will be 1 night per week (typically Mondays or Tuesdays), the program will end prior to Fall Break.
- Practice times will be tentatively 7 - 8 p.m. depending on gym availability
- 5th - 6th Volleyball players will participate in scrimmages with area communities (Saturday mornings).
